FRIDAY DECEMBER
THE 31TH.
NOW OPEN 7
DAYS A WEEK(December)!: 2 fish per
person,
per day, over 18 inches on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Not sure why we couldn't have started with the seven day a week season
we had
at the end of 2003, especially since we fell thousands of pounds below
our quota for the third season in a row. NC DMF takes pounds
away from us if we go over quota. Why don't we get extra pounds
for the following season when we fall below? Call NC DMF
800-682-2632 and let Preston Pate know, if you feel the same way!
If you get his secretary make sure you leave a message for-the-record.

Not sure why we cannot continue with the seven day a week season we had
at the end of 2003, especially since we fell thousands of pounds below
our quota for the second season in a row. NC DMF takes pounds
away from us if we go over quota. Why don't we get extra pounds
for the following season when we fall below? Call NC DMF

THE 2001 FALL/WINTER

25TH(WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!... AGAIN!!!!!!).
Anglers were able to keep 2 fish per
person,
per day, over 18 inches on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and
Sundays.
Thanks for nothing N.C. D.M.F. A seven day a week option was not
even put on the table for us at this years meeting by North Carolina
Division
of Marine Fisheries. They said it was not a viable option.
We have come to find out that the reason it was not a viable option is
because N.C. D.M.F is on a hiring freeze. This prevents them from
hiring fish counters to check us at the dock the additional three days
a week. The freeze was instituted by the state since N.C. D.M.F
has
mismanaged funds and overspent thier budget. One day maybe N.C.
D.M.F.
will get their act together and allows us a seven day a week, nine
month
season like those offered in Virginia and Maryland. FOR
